May 2026 Art Vlog

May has come and, mostly, gone, and I made….. not a lot of art, to be honest. But that’s okay – the thing I love about this life of mine right now is the fact that I don’t have to be “on” and creative every single day of the week – I can let life happen and my creativity ebb and flow as my curiosity takes me random places.

This month’s art vlog is shorter, thanks in part to me not making as much art, and because I’m finally learning and getting the hang of editing down, adding some fun little bonus video bits from other things through the month, etc. But inside you’ll find a bit about my first plein air adventure, urban sketching, some silly/bad sketchbook doodles, and my solution to how I’d swatch the fountain pen inks I have in my collection with a little lino carving.

June promises, at least toward the end, to be full of some traveling adventures so I’m really looking forward to taking part of my vacation time to try my hand at some more plein air painting.
